Tuesday Morning Blog Roundup
By Lowell | April 3, 2007
Here are some interesting diaries from the progressive blogosphere that caught my eye this morning:
*Jerome a Paris at Daily Kos writes about “The one graph that damns the Bush economy.” Actually, it’s two graphs, but what the heck, this is economics after all and you can never have enough charts and graphs!
*Also at Daily Kos, “thereisnospoon” wrties that they would “work hard for a Hillary/Lieberman ticket.” The core argument is the Supreme Court:
…the balance of the court hangs by thread. Five are sane, if not exactly progressive; four are nuts. All they need is one more nut.
And we can’t afford that: “For the next decade or more, regardless of who wins the House or Senate, if a Republican takes the White House, the probability is that the the balance of the court will shift dramatically.”
*Jerome Armstrong at MyDD writes:
The continuation of the Obama: Congress Will Fund Iraq War After Veto headline into Monday in Iowa is not good news for Obama. Alongside the headline saying that Reid may move to cut Iraq war funds, it pits Obama into the position of defending funding of the war, while other Democrats move forward to cutting off funding of the war, including the Senate leader…
Armstrong adds, “Obama’s position on ending the war has been strong, but he seems to be displaying caution now.”
*Taylor Marsh also chimes in on what she calls “Obama’s Amateur Hour.”
*Matthew Yglesias writes an article entitled, “The Transcendental Deduction of the VLOG,” in which he “defen[s] the vlogging medium from the scurrilous attacks of young Nick Yglesias.” Ha.
*Finally, we’ve got the classic headline, “Giluliani’s Wife Kills Puppies,” over at Plunderbund. I presume this isn’t the type of headline the Giuilani campaign wants to see regularly? ![]()
