Is There ANYTHING Khalid Sheikh Mohammed Didn’t Do?
By Lowell | March 15, 2007
On top of planning 9/11 “from A to Z,” Khalid Sheikh Mohammed has now confessed to 29 other terrorist acts, including a plot to assassinate Jimmy Carter (what, Carter was too sympathetic to the Palestinians for Mohammed?). Now, add another one to Mohammed’s tour de terror, as he now says he also “decapitated … the American Jew, Daniel Pearl.” Well, this could be, but I can’t say I’m surprised that progressive bloggers are showing a bit of skepticism here. For instance:
*Firedoglake’s TRex writes, “forgive me if I’m a little cynical about the timing of these revelations,” adding:
Yes, look! Over there! Arabs are violent and evil! Pay no attention to the Presidential Aide behind the curtain!
*Taylor Marsh also displays a touch o’ sarcasm:
I can breathe again. I feel safe again. Open the windows again. Walk down the street again. Take a plane again. Go overseas again. Ahhhhhhh. Life as I knew it before KSM was captured can be renewed. It really is spring time in America.
*Down with Tyranny headlines its post, “This bulletin just in from Guantanamo: American propaganda puppetmaster Karl Rove has once again waved his magic wand and changed the subject.”
And on and on it goes…next thing you know, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed will have confessed to global warming and the national debt.

Your ilk is far more reactionary than those you critisize. Here’s a suggestion: how about BALANCED presentations? It’s obvious why so many Americans distrust and dislike the media; your “show” makes Mao Tse Tung seem “Middle of the road.” (I’m prepared for inane backlash responders…who know how to critisize but who offer NO solutions. P.S.- I strongly suspect you are Anti-Israel as well.

I find it strange that so much is being made of Khalid Sheik Muhammed’s confession that he masterminded the 911 attacks. It’s been public knowledge since 2002.
In 2002, al Jazeera broadcast a documentary entitled, “Top Secret: The Road to 911″. In the film, KSM as well as Ramzi bin al Shib are interviewed and discuss their roles in the planning and execution of the September 11th plot.
This was several months before KSM was captured and put in US custody. We know, therefore, that at least for this specific admission, that KSM’s testimony was not coerced or forced from torture.
But then again, as the Chinese say: “You can’t wake up a man pretending to be asleep” People love their dogma and conspiracy theories.
