“It’s Not Just Walter Reed”

By Lowell | March 5, 2007

According to the Washington Post, Walter Reed is just the tip of the proverbial iceberg, with “troubling stories of military health care across [the] U.S.” Here’s some commentary in the Democratic and progressive blogosphere:

*Americablog sarcastically notes, “This is how America supports its troops.”

*Talk Left says that “[i]f the Bush Administration thought that Walter Reed is the only veterans hospital needing fixing, it’s in for a huge awakening.”

*A recommended diary on Daily Kos is headlined, [Washington Post reporters] “Dana Priest and Anne Hull Hit Another Homerun.”

*Down with Tyranny blames President Bush for an “unending tax breaks for his wealthy corporate supporters” that have “made the V.A. system untenable. ”

*Meanwhile, Oliver Willis comments:

Fox’s conservative anchor, Brit Hume frets that the real problem with the Walter Reed Scandal is that it looks bad for the President, health and welfare of America’s military be damned.

Heckuva job.
