Progressive Blogosphere on Laura Bush Comments
By Lowell | February 27, 2007
Laura Bush says:
This is their opportunity to seize the moment—ahhh—to build a really good and stable country. And many parts of Iraq are stable ahh..now. But, of course, what we see on television is the one bombing a day that discourages everybody.
The Progressive blogosphere weighs in:
*AmericaBlog says “Once again, Laura Bush blames the media — and Larry King let her get away with it, of course.
*Atrios puts Laura Bush’s comments under the headline, “Today in Sociopathy.”
*Crooked Timber asks, “Would this also be the talking point if we had one Iraqi-style car bombing per day anywhere in the entire United States for a month or two?”
*Crooks and Liars juxtaposes Mrs. Bush’s comments with the attempted asssination of Dick Cheney in Afghanistan, and sarcastically notes, “That sure sounds stable to me…”
*Daily Kos’ “BarbinMD” writes, “Proving that you don’t have to be an official member of the Bush administration to be completely wrong about Iraq, in an appearance on last night’s Larry King Live, Laura Bush weighed in with her deep thoughts.”
