Will Lieberman Switch Parties?
By Lowell | February 22, 2007
There’s tons of commentary on this story, Senator Joseph Lieberman of Connecticut telling the Politico that “he has no immediate plans to switch parties but…that Democratic opposition to funding the war in Iraq might change his mind.”
*Firedoglake writes, “don’t say we didn’t warn you.”
*Taylor Marsh says “good riddance” and adds, “I hope the door doesn’t hit him on the way out of the Democratic Party.”
*Booman Tribune suggest that “we should start working on flipping a Republican Senator.”
*davidsirota at Daily Kos writes, “Why Dems Should Hope Lieberman Joins the GOP.”
*Wonkette writes with just a touch o’ sarcasm, “Thanks, Connecticut! Great work in that November election.”
And on and on it goes…where it stops, only Joe knows! ![]()

Just a quick question - why would you be willing to jetison a true liberal just because he knows something you do not know; that islam is out to wipe Israel off the map? On every other issue, he marches lock step with liberals, so it’s ludicrous that you would think in terms of ONE issue.
Why would you toss him out just because you disagree with his view of the war?
