What’s Hot in the Blogosphere
By nathanleewilcox | February 1, 2007
The following are some notable posts from the progressive blogosphere this week.
*Markos lays into Joe Biden, calls him a “patronizing asshole“ or a “historical revisionist asshole.”
*Eric Boehlert on Media Matters has a press corrective entitled “The press manufactures John Kerry’s tears.” Boehlert writes that “reporters and pundits went ahead and manufactured the narrative that the ‘emotional’ and ‘choked up’ senator became ‘tearful’ as he publicly ‘let go of his White House dreams.’” Unfortunately, according to Boehlert, “[n]one of that was accurate.”
*Matthew Yglesias and Joshua Marshall discuss President Bush’s use of the term “Democrat Party” in his State of the Union speech. Yglesias points out that Frank Luntz, the infamous Republican pollster, long ago focus grouped the term “Democrat Party” as a slur.
*Marcy Wheeler over at Firedoglake continues her live blogging of the “Scooter” Libby trial. By the way, Wheeler also has a book out, published by Vaster Books (Markos’ new publishing company), entitled “Anatomy of Deceit.” Heavily promoted on Daily Kos, the book is now ranked #498 on Amazon.com. Great work by Marcy!
*Blogpac.org “is working on a project to bring community blogging to every state. Great stuff.
*Chris Bowers at MyDD discusses “the ongoing exodus of prominent players in the netroots to professional positions as campaign, congressional, and consultant staff.” Among other questions, Bowers asks, “to what extent are the netroots and the progressive movement helped or hindered by its professionalization?” Interesting and thought-provoking questions from Chris, as always.

Thanks for the trackback. I’m glad the truth is getting out there on the Kerry story. Keep up the great work!
